About Fact Family Math

Fact Family Math is a free website about one idea: fact families. We explain what a fact family is, show worked examples, and give parents and teachers tools and printable worksheets they can use right away.

Who this site is for

We write for the adults who help children learn: parents helping with homework, teachers planning a lesson, tutors and homeschool families. The pages are not aimed at children, and the site does not ask children for any personal information.

What you will find here

• Clear explanations of addition and subtraction, and multiplication and division, fact families, with worked examples.
• A free fact family calculator that builds a whole family from two numbers.
• A worksheet maker that prints fresh fact family triangles, houses and fill-in sheets with answer keys.
• Practice games for home and class.
• Teaching guidance and classroom ideas.

How we work

Every page is written to answer a real question clearly and honestly. We check the examples before we publish them, and the answers on our worksheets are generated by the same code that makes the questions, so they are always consistent. You can read more on our editorial policy page.
