How to read a fact family triangle
In an addition triangle, the top number is the whole and the bottom numbers are the parts. Add the bottom two to get the top, or subtract one bottom number from the top to get the other. In a multiplication triangle, the top number is the product and the bottom numbers are the factors. Multiply the bottom two to get the top, or divide the top by one bottom number to find the other.
