Editorial policy
How Fact Family Math creates, checks and corrects its content, and how advertising is kept separate.
This page explains how Fact Family Math decides what to publish and how we keep it correct.
Who writes the content
Pages are written and edited by the Fact Family Math editorial team. Each page is built around a question that parents and teachers ask, and it answers that question in the first lines.
How we check accuracy
- We work through every example by hand before publishing it.
- The calculator and worksheet maker compute their results with code. Answer keys come from the same code that creates the questions.
- We explain definitions in the way common curricula use them, and we note where wording differs between countries.
Sources
When we mention what children are expected to learn at a given age, we refer to published curriculum documents such as the Common Core State Standards for Mathematics in the United States and the national curriculum for England, and we say that local practice can differ.
Corrections and updates
If you find an error, please send us a message with the page address. We review every report, fix confirmed errors, and update the date at the top of the page. We also review our pages from time to time and improve them.
Advertising and independence
We may show ads to cover the cost of running the site. Ads never change what we write, and we label them clearly. We do not accept payment to review or promote a product within our educational content.
